I know, I know… I’ve neglected this blog and I apologize. If you wasn’t the latest news on any of my dance adventures, please go to brentkoki.com. Be patient with me. I’m still trying to get use to blogging. It’s a lot of work! Hahaha!
I am proud to announce that my site is finally up! After a year in the works (that’s right, a year…), it’s up. Please visit me at brentkoki.com. A big thank you to my boy Larry who did a great job! AND there’s more to come. The site is not finished, finished but it’s a start. We will be adding a few more cool thing so look out for it. I’m so excited and blessed that one of my many dreams came true! On my site will be all my choreography, dance, and hopefully where dance has taken me blog. This blog will be a little bit of that but mostly about everything other then dance. Oh and soon to come for all you Japanese speaking followers (if any… Hahahaha!) the Japanese version of my site, burechan.com. I will keep you posted and let you know when that site has launched. So excited!
Read this article. I know it’s a little long but it’s pretty interesting.
Yesterday was a fun filled day. It started off with meeting my dad to decide what door handles we wanted in our newly/almost finished renovated kitchen. Then I picked up Sascha and had breakfast together at Kenny’s in Kalihi. It was great since I rarely get a Saturday off with her because of my work schedule. I kind of miss having a job that gives me weekends off… Anyway… I’m simple, I got 2 eggs over easy, crispy bacon, and 2 scoops rice. Sascha got 2 pancakes, 1 egg over easy, and bacon. Guess who didn’t finish? Sascha. Guess who had to eat the rest of her pancakes? I did. Not that I didn’t mind. Hahaha! I like to eat. After breakfast we headed to the Spaulding Clubhouse off Waiola Street. I was teaching a class for a fundraiser for National Dance Day at the Boys and Girls Club. We got there a little early so I had the pleasure of watching Brandi Chun’s class. It’s great to see your own students become amazing dancers and great teachers! I’ve known Brandi since she was 9, she is now 17. Holy smokes I’m old! Hahaha! I had a lot of fun teaching at the Boys and Girls Club. Such eagerness to learn and great energy! After a fun class, we decided to go to Waiola’s. I’ve never been there. The Shaved Ice was really good but I still prefer Matsumoto’s. The ice is a little more course and I think it’s the local boy in me. You know all us local boys love Matsumoto’s. Hahaha! We headed to Ala Moana to kill some time before meeting up with Sascha’s family for dinner. 7pm, finally dinner time. If you didn’t know, I love to eat! Hahaha! I can’t help it, I get hungry almost every 2 hours. Los Chaparros was a pretty good Mexican restaurant. Definitely a place I would like to go back to. I feel so blessed to have had a day to spend it with great people, eating great food, and doing what I love to do.
